Barely
a week after inspector General of police David Kimaiyo gave a shoot to kill
order to bandits disturbing peace in kapedo Turkana County, fresh attacks
leaves 25 dead earlier today.

GSU officers and 3 Toyota Company staffs were shot dead and two vehicles, a lorry
and wide load max track burned by suspected raiders from pokot community.
Confirming
the incident Turkana East Ward Administrator Charles Ekai, said the lorry was
going to pull the scrap of the car burned in the same place two weeks ago, when
600 armed youths suspected from the neighboring pokot community ambushed the convoy
which was escorted by GSU officers killing them on the spot.
The
Kenya wildlife patrol recovered the bodies of the deceased.
Tensions
are high in the area forcing the closure of schools and villagers fleeing their
homes. Candidates of kapedo secondary school are the only ones remaining to do
their exams under supervision of the deputy head teacher and security officers.
