Her Excellency the first lady of Kenya Mrs. Margret
Kenyatta accompanied by Turkana county governor Josephat Nanok and other county leaders earlier today
launched a mobile clinic for the beyond
zero initiative at moi gardens in Lodwar town. This is the eighth mobile clinic
to be launched since the beginning of the campaign last year.
The initiative which is also supported by Tullow Oil
Company and Turkana county government is aimed at eradicating infant and mother
mortality and also other diseases such as HIV/AIDS.
Speaking during the launch her excellence said that
the mobile clinic will be a solution to health situations in the county.
The executive in charge of health and sanitation in
Turkana County Jane Ajele promised that the county will work together with her
Excellency and other supporting organizations to ensure the project is a
success.
